Pre-Finish Line Victory! Praise the Lord NOW!

Being Victorious

What does it mean to live in victory? Victorious living is not just a moment in time, but a state of being. It is something that we can enjoy living in and walking in anywhere, at any time.

In other words, you are a winner long before you see the test results, before you get the job, meet the spouse, receive the finances, etc. It is by the grace of God through Jesus Christ that we win!

Does it seem presumptuous to celebrate a victory before a goal has been met? Yes, I can see why it may seem so, but what if the obstacle that you are overcoming is within yourself? The gut-punching reminders of all of your failures and shortcomings that make you want to give up? The time wasted due to procrastination and the mental imprisonment of imposter syndrome. Yes, that stuff needs redeeming too,..

I have been one of my biggest opponents in life. By trying to break my own records so that I don’t become complacent, and trying to cultivate healthier habits concerning my diet. Trying to reach higher creativity goals as I learn new skills, and overcome doubt and fear daily.

Unfortunately, although my goals are well-intended, I have still fallen flat on my face when I try to complete them on my own.

Having determination is a great attribute to have, but I’m learning to focus my determination toward obeying God. His instruction and receiving His rest is a mind shift, bringing less anxiety, less stress, and greater fulfillment.

There is a peace that cannot be denied when I’m about my father’s business. (Luke 2:42-49)

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1)

What we see can be deceiving. Faith helps us look past our circumstances, which can skew our perspectives. It can cause us to view our situations only from what we know and the position we’re standing in.

There’s a song we used to sing in the church choir when I was a little girl, that said, “Don’t wait till the battle’s over, shout now. You know in the end you’re gonna win.”

(“When The Battle Is Over”, Sung by Walter Hawkins and The Love Center Choir)

The song reminds those of us who believe in Jesus of the finished work on the cross. (John 19:28-30)

Every step forward is still progress. There is still something to glean from our experiences, even though the outcome doesn’t appear to look like what we had hoped for or expected. In Christ, the scripture says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)

Therefore, when we take on this understanding that ‘all things work together for our good’, and ‘there is no weapon that is formed against us that will prosper’ (Isaiah 54:17), there is absolutely nothing left for us to do but to give God thanks.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!

Psalm 150 (KJV)

1Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
